Get The Look: Everyday Glowing & Confident Makeup

Posted on April 29 2021

antonym glow look

Today we are sharing a deceptively simple, yet lovely everyday makeup look that will leave you looking and feeling glowing and confident! Here’s a breakdown of how to achieve this makeup look in a few simple steps.

STEP 1. SKIN

The first step after moisturizing the face is to apply the foundation. Our lovely model Montse is wearing Skin Esteem foundation beige medium light, applied with the Antonym foundation Brush #4. It allows you to control the amount of product you apply from light to full coverage depending on personal preferences. The first step might be the only step you will use.

The great thing about Skin Esteem Liquid Foundation is that it’s buildable. To add a bit more foundation lightly go over the entire face by taping gently on the skin with the flat part of the Brush to deposit color then use a gentle swirling motion on the area applied to blend. The key here is using a gentle touch, and not applying makeup as if you would with a paint Brush, as this might leave streaks and potential remove product.

On areas that need a bit more attention (such as discoloration) you can also use the foundation to conceal; apply with the Concealer Brush #5 Brush by tapping gently on the area to deposit the color.

As a setting powder we used the Antonym Baked Foundation medium beige and applied it with the Powder Brush #1 for a natural healthy-looking skin. The silky finish of the Baked Foundation adapts to the skin tone and gives an extra sense of softness to the skin.

For a bit of face contouring, we applied the Baked Foundation Dark on the forehead and under the cheek bones.

STEP 2. EYES

To prep the eyelids before applying color to the eyes, we used the Baked Foundation Light on the entire eyelid using the Large Shader Brush #6. The Baked Foundation Dark was applied only on the eyelid using the Medium Eye Shader Brush #7

The Copper Baked Blush was used both for the cheeks and the eyes. However, on the eyes, we used the copper and gold colors separately (both swirled in the baked blush).

We applied the copper color on the outer corner of the eye going into the crease and slightly on the bottom lash line with the medium angled eye shader Brush #8. Then, the gold color from the blush was applied lightly to the middle of the lid with the Small Eye Shader Brush #12.

To finish the look, we used the Brown Eye Pencil on both the top and bottom lash lines; first applying it with the Small Angled Brush #13, and then slightly smudge the color with the Medium Pencil Brush #19. (Applying the eye pencil with a Small Angled Brush gives a more subtle look without harsh lines).

For the final touch we applied one coat of Lola Lash Too Mascara.

STEP 3. CHEEKS

The same Copper Blush we used for the eyes, we used on the cheeks. It is applied lightly on the apple of the cheeks going upward towards your ears with the Blush Brush #2.

STEP 4. LIPS

The final touch of the look was achieved by using the Koral Lipstick Pencil, applied with the Lip Brush.

We love this look because it can be worn daily and also turned from day to night with a few simple tweaks. We will share how to do this in a follow up post.
